Canoeing on the Rio Mondego

Take yourself away from the hustle and bustle of the main town and beach to the River Mondego and Mondego Valley on a tranquil canoe trip that meanders 25k downstream from Penacova to Coimbra.

Book your trip in advance and the organisers will collect you from Coimbra tourist office (easily accessible by regular trains from Figueira da Foz) to drive you up to Penacova where your canoe trip will start.  The canoes are two-man models, roomy and comfortable for the 3-4 hour long trip downriver.

Your journey ends back in Coimbra at the stunning Mondego Valley where the organisers will meet you to collect their equipment and it's just a short train journey back to Figueira da Foz.
